Comments: Monty will impress the beef producer and the traditional Highland enthusiast alike. He has a remarkable back end shape with great fill accross the plates and excellent depth of thigh. Considering his exceptional muscle expression, his front end is smooth and his female progeny retain femininity. He has good feet and exceptional longivity. He was still working at 15 years of age and carrying himself beautifully. He has great volume and a temperament to die for. Never has he needed to have a nose ring put in, and he has always been able to be haltered in the paddock.
You can only admire his pedigree - he can be used over any Highland female in Australia. The Old Greenlaw fold was dispersed some years ago and their lines are much sort after by the traditional Scottish breeders not only for their pedigree and type, but also for their size and muscling.
This is a proven bull whose structural correctness, good feet and fertility has stood the test of time. Not often do you get a chance to introduce this kind of unique genetics into your fold, from a bull who, through his progeny and himself, has perpetuated all that makes this breed so grand.
